Service Overview
EasyLink Fax to E-mail automatically converts received faxes into electronic images that can be delivered directly to an employee's e-mail box or to a business application such as a workflow management system or database. Employees or applications are given a unique fax number. When faxes are sent to this fax number, they are converted into TIFF or PDF files, attached to a standard e-mail message, and delivered to the user's e-mail account. They can be opened, read, printed, stored and forwarded, just like any e-mail message. Delivery is also available via FTP and can be sent over secure data- connections or the Internet.
EasyLink's Fax to E-mail Service can provide local fax numbers in many USA area codes as well as toll-free numbers. Service is currently available in the United States and Canada, Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa, South Korea, and most of Europe. Fax to E-mail accepts multiple faxes simultaneously, making it a perfect fax solution for high-volume environments such as call centers, or any application where your business can't afford to have a fax-sender experience a busy signal.
