EasyLink PC to Fax is integrated desktop software that allows users to fax any Windows-compatible document right from their PC to any fax machine in the world -- over the Internet. And with EasyLink's Fax Merge feature, users can send a personalized broadcast fax quickly and easily.

Fax Merge is an enhanced feature of PC to Fax Broadcast enabling users to easily send personalized broadcast faxes to large volumes of fax numbers to locations worldwide. By using the Microsoft Word merge engine to produce merged documents, PC to Fax can send merged files to thousands of recipients straight from a PC.

Our PC to Fax Broadcast capability is ideal for database marketing, invoicing and notification applications. Merged documents can contain any combination of fonts, formatting, and graphics, customized with virtually unlimited data fields from any database.

Once the PC to Fax software is installed on the user's PC, it operates just like any standard Windows print driver. PC to Fax appears as a configured printer in the Printers folder, and is listed on the Printer menu.

Sending a broadcast fax couldn't be easier with EasyLink's PC fax software:

• Open the document to be faxed and choose "File" and then "Print."
• When the Printer Selection window appears, choose "FaxLauncher" as the printer.
• Input the recipients' fax numbers and add a cover page if desired.
• Click "Send."

The broadcast fax software changes the document into a TIFF file right at the desktop and sends it with RSA-encryption over your e-mail server, SMTP gateway, or dial-up Internet connection. The document is sent over the Internet to EasyLink's Network, where it is rendered into a fax document and delivered to the recipient. All text and formatting are preserved. Users receive an e-mail delivery confirmation of each message sent from the fax software.
